How to Stage Your Home to Attract Tenants
Compared to an unstaged home, you could end up achieving a higher rent when presenting a staged property rental. Here are a few simple steps Property Managers/Landlords can take to highlight the best features and show the potential of a property.
Living Room
This space should feel warm and welcoming and lit lamps and plants can help with that. Coordinated pillows in bright colours bring a sense of symmetry and order.
Kitchen
Keep things minimal. Set out a bowl of fruit or delicate-looking containers on the counters. If there’s a table or island, set it up. Update cabinets with fresh paint and new handles.
Bedroom
Keep the bed facing towards a focal point, such as a big window or fireplace. Crisp white sheets give the room a hotel feel while colourful throw pillows add a touch of interest.
Bathroom
Don’t be afraid to take an extra step in making bathrooms feel luxurious. Fresh white towels, an orchid, a couple of candles and decorative baskets will make prospective tenants feel like they’re moving up.
Outdoors
Spruch up the front of the house with potted plants by the entry. Choose a paint colour for the door that compliments the trim of the building, like black, red or blue.
